Stats ChipPAC: Announced that one of its potential acquirors Tianshui Huatian Technology (Huatian) has terminated intentions to acquire the company. In a Bloomberg article last week, it was cited that 2 Chinese chip testing firms had their eyes on Stats, one being the aforementioned Huatian and the other Jiangsu Changjiang Electronic Technology. These names aside, market watchers do not rule out that players such as Advanced Semiconductor Engineering and Samsung Electronics could also be keen bidders. Lifting trading halt at 3.45pm
