CNMC
CNMC: CNMC commenced operation of its second gold de-absorption plant with a record production output of 2,130.74oz of gold dore bars for a single pour. This topped the record 1,526.09oz in Oct by 40%, and the previous record 1,311.33 oz in Sep by 62%.
The new plant at the Sokor Gold Project in Kelantan, tripled the group's total processing capacity to 3 tonnes per cycle. With the increased heap leaching capacity, the group should continue to achieve greater economies of scale, translating into margin expansion through lower adjusted operating cost per ounce of gold production.
In addition, CNMC is on track to complete its third leach pad by year end, estimated to lift the group's gold leaching capacity to 1m tonnes of ore annually.
