Tiger: Operating stats for Feb. For mth of Feb 2012, Tiger carried 384k passengers, a 19% decrease compared to Feb 2011. Avg load factor was 81% down from 83% in Feb 2011.
From Mar 2011 to Feb 2012, a total of 5.6m flew with Tiger Airways, a decrease of 6% compared to the no. of passengers in the preceding 12 months. Average load factor for the 12-mth period to Feb 2012 was 82% down 4 % pts. Capacity increased by 13% yoy for mth of Feb.
The fall in numbers was partly due to Tiger Airways operating at reduced capacity and limited schedule compared to Feb 2011. The increase from 38 sectors to 64 sectors will only be progressively phased in from July 2012.
