Wilmar

Wilmar: its Australian unit Sucrogen has signed an agreement to buy a local sugar cooperative for A$115m. Sucrogen will buy the business assets of Proserpine Co-operative Sugar Milling Association Ltd. on a debt-free and cash-free basis...

Sucrogen currently owns 7 sugar mills in north and central Queensland, producing almost half of Australia's total raw sugar supply. The acquisition will increase Sucrogen's milling capacity by about 2m tonnes, to a total of 17m tonnes, and increase raw sugar production by about 10%, to 2.2m tones.
Proserpine is a cooperative sugar mill, wholly owned by 214 sugarcane suppliers and is Australia's 5th-largest raw sugar producer. ..

AmFraser maintains Buy, with TP $6.25. Suggests price controls in China may finally be over, as edible oil companies in China may apply to raise prices after the order to impose price ceiling expires in early-June.
