Coal/Straits Asia: China, fighting its worst electricity shortages in 7 yrs, will order some coal and power producers to build stockpiles of the fuel in to prevent supply disruptions. We note that this could bring abt continued demand for Coal going forward and lend support to the recent surge in prices following China’s severe drought in China which reduced the reliability of Hydroelectric.
