China shipyards

China shipyards: China released its first "white list" of 51 shipyards that it deems worthy of favorably policy support (eg. export tax rebates, bank credit), as the world's largest shipbuilder strives to tackle over capacity issues. Comforting to see that the list includes Yangzijiang's New Yangzi shipyard, and four related to Cosco. China has more than 1,600 shipyards and analysts predict that a third will shut as the industry remains mired in a capacity glut.
