Wilmar

Wilmar: Formed a 50-50 a JV with another major player, Kemira Oyj, for the manufacture of alkyl ketene dimer (AKD) wax in China. Kemira, a leading manufacturer of AKD, will provide the JV with its current facilities in Yanzhou, while Wilmar will integrate its facilities in Lianyungang. Wilmar, the producer of the key raw material in AKD production, stearic acid, will supply Kerima with the raw materials while capitalizing on the cost efficiencies from the expansion down the oleochemicals value chain.
