FNN
FNN: has appointed former Singapore finance minister Richard Hu as a senior adviser to the board.
FNN said Dr Hu will "provide invaluable advice . . . on the strategy and direction of the group, as well as share his expertise on macro-economic matters and regulatory and policy issues".
Dr Hu was previously chairman of property developer CapitaLand and a board member of the GIC. Dr Hu's appointment took effect on Mar 27.
The appointment was made amid lingering questions about whether F&N will remain a listed company.
SGX has given F&N until April 18 to declare its listing intentions. Unless F&N makes clear by the deadline that it intends to maintain its listing status, the market regulator will convert F&N's current trading halt into a trading suspension on April 19.
F&N said it is "considering its options with respect to its listing status".
Thai tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi currently holds more than 90% of F&N's shares, leaving a free float below the listing min of 10%.
