Tiger Airways
Tiger Airways: Tiger Airways is on the rebound, with Australian operations turning around while the South-east Asian business continues to grow steadily, according to its new group CEO Koay Peng Yen.
Add that grp has achieved operational turnaround in Aus, and now have 56 flights a day, which will increase to 64 flights by Oct 1, which is higher than the 60 they had last yr. Grp add that the next phase is to look at the business from the perspective of the customer. We have 99.99% of flights taking off on schedule and were rated the best for on-time performance in Asean in Jul and Aug. Tiger Australia has had best on-time performance for eight consecutive months.
The move to Terminal 2 on Sept 25 (when the Budget Terminal gives way to the construction of Terminal 4) will give an opportunity to roll out more products and services to enhance the customer experience. Grp CEO guides that his own guess is that tiger’s time period to turn back into profitability will be short, although it has to recognize some practicalities.
