SIA: August 2012 operating results out. Passenger carriage grew 8.7% yoy against a 6.4% increase in capacity. As a result load factor improved 1.7% pts to 78.3%. The number of passengers carried increased by 6.5% to 1.5m. Load factors improved on back of strong summer demand and Lebaran holiday travel. PLF for East Asia and South West Pacific route regions declined as growth in demand was outstripped by increases in capacity. Cargo traffic was 4.3% lower yoy while cargo capacity decreased by 1.6%. Load factors fell by 1.7% points and decreased for all regions except for Europe and West Asia & Africa.
