Ezra

Ezra: Announced that its subsea construction division, EMAS AMC, had been awarded a contract by ABB, for the installation of subsea power cables at Troll in the North Sea. (No amt was disclosed) The contract is pursuant to an arrangement of strategic cooperation for subsea installation between the two co’s and is part of ABB's second contract with Statoil, to supply subsea HVDC Light transmission systems to the Troll A platform in the North Sea. The Troll A concrete deepwater structure is the world's largest natural gas production platform at 473m and weighing 1.2m tons. The scope of work for EMAS AMC is to install one HVAC subsea cable and two circuits of HVDC subsea cables from Troll A to the land station, Kollsnes. Cable installation operations will be performed during Q2 2014.
