ST Engrg: Has won new contracts for its rail electronics, traffic management and satellite communications and sensor solutions worth about S$210m in 2Q2012. This includes the S$98m contract from LTA to enhance the Expressway Monitoring & Advisory System (EMAS) equipment along eight expressways in Sg which was announced in April 2012. A $31.6m contract was also awarded by LTA for a communication system for the Tuas West Extension which started in May 2012 and will be completed by 2016. Its US co VT iDirect secured $80m of satcom systems contracts for local and intl customers. Outside of the $210m, ST secured contracts for its intrusion detection fence from other local customers which was installed in Changi Airport in 2010. Co is also mentioned on the Nomura report today.
