Midas: (The Edge) Grp isn’t content with riding a recovery in China’s railway sector, aims to hunt for railway orders in EU and diversify into Aerospace, automobile and shipbuilding sectors in China. Grp CEO note that he was spent a considerable amt of time in EU recently to forge relationships with the big players in the railway industry there, which is why grp was recently able to secure the recently announced Rmb64.7m contract from Siemens. Add that in the longer term, it aims to supply aluminium plates not just to the railway industry, but also other transport-related industries such as automobile, shipbuilding and aviation segments and believes that the aviation sctor will begin to see a certain degree of localisation with the the presence of large Co’s such as Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer.
