Sound Global

Sound Global: Announced that is has won the bid for the wastewater treatment plant BOT project in Nanshanpian, Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Zone, Fujian Province, China. Sound Global will invest and construct a wastewater treatment plant with a current designed capacity of 100,000 ton per day. The project will be invested, built, operated and transferred under the BOT arrangement with a concession period of 30 years. The wastewater treatment plant BOT project in Nanshanpian, is Sound Global’s first national grade wastewater treatment plant in a petrochemical industrial base. The next decade remains crucial for the dev of the country’s heavy industries, which grp aims to utilize its experience from projects in Mainland China, the Middle-East and South Asia to ensure better development in water business markets in petrochemical industrial bases both domestically and abroad. Transaction is not expected to have a material impact on the EPS and NTA per share of Co for FY12. Recall previously that mkts were tipping China’s water plays to benefit from a drop in I/R, an area in China where there is huge demand for water infrastructure. The highly capital-intensive nature of the business is a challenge, so a drop in interest rates would be most welcome to these companies.
