Tiger Air: upside could be capped in near term, on concerns that its proposed 49/51 JV with Thai Airways (THAI) in Thai Tiger Airways (TTA) may be scuttled, if the Thai Transport Ministry finds the deal “not useful or lawful”. According to the Bangkok Post, the Ministry has summoned THAI snr execs to appear on Sept 15 to answer qns regarding the establishment of TTA, amidst growing scepticism about the motivation and viability of the creation of TTA, and how TTA may disadvantage Thailand.
