SG Market

SG Market: Spore shares likely to be range-bound in quiet session with investors sidelined amid host of uncertainties overhanging market, including China policy jitters, Korea tensions, euro-zone sovereign risk. With MSCI index rebalancing over, volume is expected to ease off a bit. STI key support tipped at 3118 Nov low. Re-listed Amtek Engrg makes debut today, likely to open below IPO price of $1.30 as public tranche was under-subscribed, valuation overly rich.

C&O may rise on news that Japan’s Sumitomo is acquiring a 29% strategic stake at $0.50 apiece from exec chairman & controlling s/holder, who pared his stake to 29.2%. SIA’s US$48m by US Dept of Justice for cargo price-fixing is once-off & unlikely to impact share price.
